Sky is planning toopen a call centre in the town of Stockport in June, bringing 550 jobs to the area.
The firm, which offers various packages combining digital television, phone services and broadband, said it is opening the office because of high demand for its internet packages.
Chris Stylianou is in charge of Sky’s UK call centres. He said the company is happy about “finding a new home in Stockport”.
He added: “We look forward to recruiting a great team here in Stockport and to making a real contribution to the local community.”
Sky also recently announced it is planning a major advertising campaign for its broadband deals and is looking for a new agency to build the promotions.
