Call centre workers up and down the country are readying themselves to help raise lots of cash for this year’s Sport Relief.
At least 100 staff at beCogent are volunteering to take calls for public donations. They will also be fundraising themselves by doing various activities for sponsorship.
Around 70 call centres had 10,000 volunteers in 2008 who helped raise £28 million.
Sport Relief, one of the nation’s biggest fundraising events, encourages ordinary people to get physical and raise money for impoverished people around the world.
Every pound raised helps people both at home and across the world’s poorest countries.
From the Friday of fundraising fun to the Sport Relief Mile on Sunday, the event promises a brilliant weekend.
Sunday’s sponsored run is for people of all abilities and ages and participants can choose to do one, three or six miles.
Sport Relief is on March 19-21.
