
1:1 coaching and mentoring
We work on a 1:1 basis with board directors and senior executives committed to improving the impact they have as leaders. This may form part of an individual’s on-going development; the first days in a new role or support during times of transition and change.
The way we work
How we work with clients depends on their objectives. Our coaching provides the catalyst for the client to reach their goals.
For some, the use of a coach is more for facilitative purposes. Working on a 1:1 basis, using their coach as a means to gain clarity, provide challenge, broaden their thinking and provide feedback.
Other clients require a deeper, more intensive coaching intervention. This is for when the client is looking for a real shift in performance, is facing significant change or is going through a period of transition.
Our approach involves 4 key stages:
The most powerful coaching starts with the client having a very real and accurate understanding of their impact as a leader. To achieve this, we take them on a journey to:
- Build awareness through a Leadership Diagnostic, looking at the impact they have on their direct reports, within their peer group, at a more senior level and in the wider organisation
- Make a conscious choice about the changes they want to make from the depth of understanding they have acquired
- Develop with clear focus and understanding; adapting mindset, developing new leadership skills and evolving behaviour. They take action and do things differently in the live environment
- Sustain change which is created by ensuring that the support, measurement and feedback structure is in place
